Ready is a 2011 Indian romantic comedy film directed by Anees Bazmee, starring Salman Khan and Asin in the lead roles. It also features Paresh Rawal, Arya Babbar and Mahesh Manjrekar, Mohit Baghel, Akhilendra Mishra in supporting roles, while Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgan Kangna Ranaut, Zarine Khan and Arbaaz Khan make cameo appearances. It is a remake of the 2008 Telugu film, Ready directed by Sreenu Vaitla starring Ram and Genelia. The music is given by Pritam. The first look was unveiled on 5 April 2011, while the theatrical trailer was released on 15 april 2011. The film was released on 3 June 2011. Upon release, Ready became the second highest opening-day grosser, as well as the second highest weekend grossing Bollywood film, after Dabangg, another Salman Khan-starrer. It held records for being the second highest grossing Bollywood film of 2011 and the third highest grossing Bollywood film ever domestically.^] As of 2012, it is the eighth highest grossing Bollywood film ever worldwide.

About The Show:

Kavi Sammelan’s are not a new concept to Indian population. The period after independence till early 1980 was the golden phase for the Kavi Sammelan’s. The first grand kavi sammelan was organized in the year 1920, which included many poets and large audiences. After that, kavi sammelan has become an inseparable part of Indian culture.

Despite being rooted so deeply and being attached so strongly with our tradition and roots post liberalization with increasing westernization and proliferation of electronic media, the frequency of such gatherings has reduced. This show is an effort to establish the old glory of the Indian Kavi Sammelan’s among the Indian youths. In this show we have tried to maintain the originality and dignity of the traditional Kavi Sammelan’s yet have added Bollywood glamour and some light elements like crowd anchors and pranksters to add and attract the youth crowd.

This show is India’s first ever reality show based on poetry which will be shoot live at 52 different locations across India and will be telecasted at some of the major national TV channels along with the biggest ever digital release ever.
